A wealth of experience
Fiona Crawley has more than 30 years experience as a lawyer in private practice advising a wide range of clients. She is highly regarded for her legal knowledge and skills.
During her time as a partner in Cambridge based firm, Hewitsons, she was involved in a wide range of startups and growing companies, assisting in all aspects of their growth strategy, funding and investment, and exploitation of key intellectual property.
In 1999 she moved to the London office of Covington and Burling, a US law firm, where she was able to build on her experience in the pharmaceutical industry, particularly on regulatory issues and working with multinational pharmaceutical companies.
From 2002 to June 2013, she was in the London office of Bryan Cave, where she headed the team in London working on IP and commercial contract matters and worked closely with colleagues in the US and elsewhere in Europe.
As a representative of Bryan Cave (and previously) she has sat on the IP Advisory Committee of the BioIndustry Association.
Fiona has been a Cambridge resident since 1982 and has remained closely involved with business and academic life in Cambridge, throughout her career.
Fiona’s principal focus, throughout her career, has been in technology companies and she has wide experience in the IT, telecoms and pharmaceutical industries. She has particular experience in advising companies developing and exploiting software products and in advising biotechnology companies.
